A WICKED interview with Winnie Holzman

As you likely know, Gregory Maguire, one of the APL Foundation’s Literary Legends, wrote Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West. The novel was published in 1995.

The much different musical adaptation premiered in 2003. How did the property go from book to the Broadway stage? Winnie Holzman, producer of such acclaimed television programs as My So-Called Life and Once and Again, teamed with Stephen Schwartz, composer of Godspell, Pippen and much more.

Winnie Holzman is interviewed by Ken Levine on his Hollywood and Levine podcast. Levine has written for TV shows such as MASH, Cheers and The Simpsons. Listen HERE.
